Of Course London is famous for its pubs, and there are so many dotted around the city. Quite a few old pubs have been taken over by chains such as wetherspoons or fullers. This doesn't take away from the beauty of an old building, it just means smaller independant pubs are a little more difficult to find.
My favourite pub to visit in the Hourglass in South Kensington, its a little quiet pub in a quiet area of London.
