Galleries

London is home to some of the most famous galleries in the world. Each with their own theme to suit any artistic taste. From the old Masters in the National Gallery to more modern and contemporary artists in the Tate Modern and Saatchi Gallery.

National Gallery (Free) (Pictured above)
 With over 2,300 works of art to see from Da Vinci to Van Gogh, the National Gallery is well worth a visit. I visited a few months ago and I didn't make it all the way around because of the sheer amount of things to see!

Tate Modern (Free)
One of my favourite galleries! With different installations and often political art work and photography. 
If theres one thing you do in London it most definitely has to be this! 
Nearest station is St. Paul's or Southwark

Tate Britain (Free)
Part of the Tate group, this gallery holds a large collection of contemporary art from the 1500s! It focuses on art from western Europe but also has a few pieces from around the world. 
Nearest station is Pimlico

Saatchi (Free)  (Pictured above)
The Saatchi gallery is a contemporary art space housing work from young artists who are virtually unknown in the UK. Based in trendy Chelsea, the gallery is free to visit and holds stunning artwork in 5 rooms.

Wallace Collection (Free)

Described as the world's finest collection of art work, armour and porcelain. 25 Galleries of French aritistry hidden away in a London Town house.

Somerset House (Some Free Exhibits) (Pictured above)

There's so much going on at Somerset house! Different artists and different exhibits every week! Its worth checking out the website to look up what you want to see. The building itself is stunning with a massive forecourt which looks stunning in the winter!
