Science Afternoon Tea!

I love Afternoon Tea and I’m always looking for one with a fun theme but is also affordable.
The Ampersand hotel, in South Kensington, does this well! It’s located almost next door to the Science museum and so they have a ‘science’ afternoon tea complete with dry ice!
The tea starts with a ‘mini experiment’ with pipettes and mixing beakers, mixing our own lemonade, with Lychee and lemon, you could even change the flavour with raspberry!

Once this was finished, and it finished quickly, we ordered tea, I went with a fresh mint which was perfect, not too sweet!
The tea arrived with the cakes and little sandwiches, but the coolest thing? The dry ice over the cakes!

Everything was so good! I’m not a huge fan of Scones, but the ones here were super fresh, soft and not too stodgey.... they were white chocolate and raspberry, which, I slathered in lemon curd. Heaven!

This was a Science X Valentines tea and it did not disappoint! The regular tea has a little fossil truffle hidden in chocolate soil, this one had a little strawberry chocolate truffle to dig out of the soil.

The Ampersand hotel has a veggie friendly option on the menu which is what I went for and the tea costs £37.50 per person.
I’ve had other teas, and I find that this is a generous price for what you get!
I guarantee you’ll all love it!
